Adult ADHD Therapy · In person in CT · Telehealth in CT, NY & PsyPact states

Therapy for adults with ADHD, whether you were diagnosed at 8 or 48.

Many adults with ADHD are capable, accomplished, and exhausted. You may already understand a lot about how your mind works, and still find the same patterns repeating at work, in relationships, or in how you talk to yourself. Therapy is a place to understand those patterns more fully and to build ways of living that actually fit you.

Who I Work With

What brings adults in

Some adults come in soon after a diagnosis. Others have known for years and are ready for a different kind of support.

Recently diagnosed

  • Making sense of a diagnosis that reframes your history
  • Grief or anger about years without support
  • Figuring out what actually helps day to day

Burnout & overwhelm

  • Years of compensating that have caught up with you
  • Procrastination, time pressure, and last-minute crises
  • Anxiety that grew out of always feeling behind

Relationships & self

  • Recurring friction with partners, family, or colleagues
  • Harsh self-criticism and self-doubt
  • Parenting while managing your own ADHD

How I Work

What therapy looks like

My work is relational and collaborative. We look at how earlier experiences shape the way you relate to yourself and others now, while also building practical tools for daily life.

1

Free consultation

A 20-minute call to hear what's bringing you in and talk through whether working together makes sense.

2

Understanding your patterns

We spend time on what's been hard, what you've already tried, and the stories you've come to believe about yourself.

3

Practical tools

Strategies for time, focus, and follow-through that fit how your mind works, rather than how you think it should work.

4

Lasting change

Over time, more flexibility in how you respond to setbacks, and less of the self-criticism that tends to come with ADHD.

More clarity, less self-blame.

Productivity tips have their place, but most adults with ADHD have tried plenty of them. Lasting change usually comes from understanding why certain situations keep going sideways, and from relating to yourself with more compassion while you work on them.

Questions from adults

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis to start?

No. You can start therapy whether or not you've been diagnosed. If you're wondering about ADHD, an adult ADHD assessment may be a helpful first step, and we can talk through which makes more sense in a free consultation.

Can I do therapy by telehealth if I don't live in Connecticut?

Yes, in many cases. I am licensed in Connecticut and New York, and I participate in PsyPact, which allows me to provide telepsychology in participating states. In-person sessions are available in Stamford and Greenwich, CT.

Do you prescribe medication?

No. As a psychologist I don't prescribe, but I'm glad to coordinate with your prescriber or help you find one if medication is something you'd like to explore.

How often are sessions?

Sessions are typically weekly to start. We move at a pace that works for you, with regular check-ins on how things are going.

Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many clients are able to recover a significant portion of fees this way.

Ready to talk about what's been getting in the way?

A free consultation is a good place to start. We'll talk through what you're noticing and figure out the right next step together.
